Hygrocybe psittacina (Schaeff. ex Fr.) Wünsche syn. Hygrophorus psittacinus (Schaeff. ex Fr.) Fr. Parrot Waxcap, Hygrophore perroquet, Papagien-Saftling, Igroforo pappagallo, Papegaaizwammetje, Zöldes nedûgomba. Cap 1–3cm across, convex or bell-shaped, usually greenish at first then more yellowish often with a pinkish tinge at the broad umbo, often striate at the margin, covered in greenish gluten especially when young. Stem 20–40 x 2–5mm, greenish yellow with darker greenish blue apex, very slimy. Flesh white tinged with green and yellow. Smell mushroomy. Gills adnate, broad, yellowish near edge becoming more green towards the cap. Spore print white. Spores ellipsoid, 8–9.5 x 4–5.5um. Habitat amongst grass on lawns or heaths. Season summer to late autumn. Occasional. Edible but not good due to it sliminess -avoid. Distribution, America and Europe.
