Geopixis carbonaria (A. & S.ex Fr.) Sacc. An ascomycet, fruit body 5-15(20)mm. Across, goblet shaped, with a slender stalk, toffee-brown with a lighter edge. Asci 8 spored, spores 12-15(17)x6.5-8(9)um. Quite common on burnt ground or old fire sites, from May to autumn. Many thanks to Miroslaw Wantoch-Rekowski who sent me these photographs. |
